A separated linear shape and texture space for modeling two-dimensional images of human faces

چکیده
Human faces di er in shape and texture. This paper describes a representation of grey-level images of human faces based on an automated separation of two-dimensional shape and texture. The separations were done using the point correspondence between the di erent images, which was established through algorithms known from optical ow computation. A linear description of the separated texture and shape spaces allows a smooth modeling of human faces. Images of faces along the principal axes of a small data set of 50 faces are shown. We also reconstruct images of faces using the 49 remaining faces in our data set. These reconstructions are the projections of an image into the space spanned by the textures and shapes of the other faces. متن کاملCombining and Steganography of 3-D Face Textures
One of the serious issues in communication between people is hiding information from the others, and the best way for this, is to deceive them. Since nowadays face images are mostly used in three dimensional format, in this paper we are going to steganography 3-D face images and detecting which by curious people will be impossible. As in detecting face only, its texture is important, we separat...
متن کاملSeparation of texture and shape in images of faces for image coding and synthesis
Human faces differ in shape and texture. Image representations based on such a separation have been reported by several authors [for review, see Beymer and Poggio, (1996)]. This paper investigates such a representation of human faces based on a separation of texture and two-dimensional shape formation. Texture and shape were separated using pixel-by-pixel correspondence between the different im...

Dimensionality reduction methods transform or select a low dimensional feature space to efficiently represent the original high dimensional feature space of data. Feature reduction techniques are an important step in many pattern recognition problems in different fields especially in analyzing of high dimensional data. Hyperspectral images are acquired by remote sensors and human face images ar...
متن کاملDetermining Effective Features for Face Detection Using a Hybrid Feature Approach
Detecting faces in cluttered backgrounds and real world has remained as an unsolved problem yet. In this paper, by using composition of some kind of independent features and one of the most common appearance based approaches, and multilayered perceptron (MLP) neural networks, not only some questions have been answered, but also the designed system achieved better performance rather than the pre...
